AI Automation Developer - Build & Optimize Business Workflows - Contract to Hire

We are looking for a skilled AI Automation Developer to design, build, and optimize intelligent automation systems that streamline our operations and improve efficiency across our business. You’ll work closely with our team to implement AI-driven workflows that integrate with our existing tools, reduce manual work, and enhance decision-making processes. Responsibilities: • Design and implement AI-powered automations using tools such as Zapier, Make, n8n, Peltarion, OpenAI APIs, Claude, Claude Code, OpenClaw, or similar platforms • Integrate AI with CRMs, databases, and productivity tools (e.g., HubSpot, Airtable, Slack, Google Workspace, Notion, etc.) • Build automated data pipelines and logic-based workflows • Develop chatbots, assistants, or AI agents where applicable • Test, troubleshoot, and optimize automation performance • Document processes and provide clear handoffs for ongoing maintenance Required Skills & Experience: • Proven experience building AI automations or workflow systems • Familiarity with automation platforms (Make, Zapier, n8n, or equivalent) • Experience working with APIs and webhooks • Understanding of AI models, prompt engineering, and integrations • Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently • Strong communication skills and responsiveness Nice to Have: • Experience with OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), or other LLM APIs • Experience with AI chatbots or customer support automation • Experience in SaaS, startups, or tech-focused environments Project Scope: • Initial project with potential for ongoing work • Flexible hours • Opportunity to shape our AI infrastructure from the ground up If this sounds like a fit, please apply with: • Examples of past automation projects • Tools you are most experienced with (including any experience with Claude, Claude Code, or OpenClaw) • Your hourly rate and availability • Please include the word “blue” in your application so we know you read this carefully.
