Agile Coach/Devops Expert Title: Agile Coach / DevOps Expert Location: Remote (U.S.-based talent strongly preferred) Type: Contract - Full-Time (40 hrs/week) Start: Mid-January Duration: 8-12 weeks (with possible extension) Travel: ~50% Communication: Excellent client-facing communication and coaching skills required Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Agile Coach who is also a hands-on DevOps expert to partner with Software Engineering teams and elevate both their Agile delivery practices and bolthires/CD maturity. This role blends team coaching, ceremony facilitation, and DevOps engineering leadership to strengthen delivery velocity, automation, and overall engineering culture. This is a highly visible position ideal for candidates who have served as both a senior Agile practitioner and a DevOps engineer/architect with real-world bolthires/CD automation experience. Key Responsibilities Agile Coaching & Delivery Leadership Coach multiple software engineering teams on Agile best practices Facilitate ceremonies: standups, retrospectives, sprint planning, demos, backlog refinement Improve team discipline around story writing, estimation, flow, and sprint execution Drive consistent adoption of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, hybrid) Mentor engineers, product owners, and delivery leads on Agile mindset and outcomes DevOps & Automation Leadership Serve as a DevOps champion for engineering teams Assess and improve existing bolthires/CD pipelines across multiple applications Guide teams in adopting DevOps best practices: trunk-based development, automated testing, deployment automation, infra-as-code, monitoring, etc. Provide hands-on support building or optimizing: Git branching strategies Automated build/test/deploy pipelines Infrastructure automation (Terraform, CloudFormation, Helm, etc.) Coach engineers on DevOps culture: speed, quality, automation-first thinking Required Experience 5-10+ years of Agile coaching across software engineering teams Strong background as a DevOps engineer or DevOps architect Expertise with modern bolthires/CD platforms (GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, CircleCI, etc.) Experience with one or more major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, bolthires Cloud Platform) Proven ability to coach teams, run ceremonies, and improve engineering delivery practices Exceptional communication skills (written, verbal, and stakeholder-facing) Ability to travel up to 50% Preferred Qualifications Local U.S. candidates strongly preferred Experience in fast-moving transformation environments Experience working with engineering teams of varying skill levels Relevant certifications: CSM, SAFe, DevOps certifications, engineering credentials What Makes This Role Unique This is not a standard Agile Coach role and not a standard DevOps Engineer role.
