Affiliate Program Coordinator
Youth Volunteer Corps (YVC) is a network of youth service programs engaging youth in team-based service experiences. The Affiliate Program Coordinator will oversee the operations of YVC affiliate programs, providing training and support while ensuring adherence to program standards.ResponsibilitiesOversee the operations of current YVC affiliate programs throughout the YVC networkMaintain consistent communication (via phone, email, and site visits) with up to 15 YVC affiliate programsProvide ongoing training and support through check-ins, evaluations, resource development, in-person site visits, webinars, etcTroubleshoot problems and assist with solutions for affiliate challengesEnsure affiliates’ adherence to YVC Program StandardsMaintain knowledge of major policy, safety and program issues related to youth service programsProvide technical assistance for YVC resourcesDevelop and implement strategies to expand YVC’s reach and impact through school partnerships and school-based programsEnsure accuracy of program data for affiliatesMaintain appropriate documentation for affiliate communicationDevelop and maintain relationships with organizations important to YVC’s successAct as the team lead for facilitation of peer-to-peer training opportunities and connections across the YVC network, scaling collaborative initiatives as applicableFacilitate monthly peer-to-peer training opportunities for affiliates across the YVC networkDevelop monthly affiliate newsletterDevelop and scale collaborative initiatives across the YVC networkAct as a hub for affiliate connectionsRecruit and onboard new affiliates by managing tasks associated with YVC’s growth initiatives including the development and implementation of a multi-faceted growth outreach strategyAssist in leading the International Youth Advisory BoardAct as a coordinator for internal affiliate updatesCreate youth development resources for programs in the YVC network and help manage our resource databaseWith the Affiliate Services Team, lead the development of service-learning lessons and unit plansDevelop new training content for affiliate resources libraryManage the online affiliate resource library including maintaining organization of resources, ensuring resources are up to date, making necessary edits, etcLead research efforts to keep YVC current on youth development trends and social needsAssist an external coordinator with an evaluation of the long-term impact of volunteerism for youth volunteersAssist with YVCHQ team effort to plan and implement YVC Summit, YVC’s annual conferenceCollaborate with other YVCHQ team members by participating in strategic discussions or providing assistance and expertise when needed to help accomplish organization-wide goalsSkillsBachelor's degree strongly preferred; equivalent experience may be consideredWell-developed administrative skills including proactive communication, follow-through, and deadline managementProficient (or resourceful) with computer knowledge and Microsoft office products, technology and data management skillsExperience working with youth a plusExperience in volunteer/program management a plusStellar organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and demonstrate resiliencyHigh initiative and self-starting abilityFlexibility to meet with youth and other partners across time zones when neededAn outgoing, independent mindset with the ability to think creatively and strategically to solve problemsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with emphasis on the ability to communicate and work with people from a variety of backgroundsAn ability to encourage, motivate, support, and develop othersA positive attitudeA sense of urgency driving organization and reliabilityAbility to travel approximately 3-5 times per year (typically 2-3 days each trip), possible longer international travel required (approximately once per year)A commitment to YVC's values: Put People First, Do the Right Thing, Pursue Excellence, Take Ownership, Be Responsive, and Have Fun!BenefitsHighly subsidized employee medical insuranceLife insuranceOptions for employee-paid dentalVisionAdditional life insuranceFamily coverageA retirement planYVC matches 50% of employee contributions up to 6% of incomeCompany OverviewYouth Volunteer Corps it engages youth in service projects that are challenging, rewarding and educational.
