Requirements The Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) has advanced graduate education and clinical training and provides comprehensive post-operative care services in compliance with state regulations and under the supervision of a collaborating physician. • Obtains history and physical information from the patient • Functions independently to perform post-operative care • Orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patients age-specific needs • Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities • Implements interventions to support the patient to regain or maintain physiologic stability, including but not limited to serving in the first assisting role • Assists in the provision of surgical care in accordance with the facility, state, federal regulations, and accrediting body • Monitors the effectiveness of interventions • Facilitates the patients transition within and between healthcare settings. (example: admitting, transferring, and discharging patients) • Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals • Facilitates staff, patient and family decision making by providing educational tools • Provides patient education • On-call on weekends via a rotating schedule Requirements • Master or Doctorate Degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant • APRN License or PA License with active NPI (National Provider Identifier) • At least 1 year of advanced experience or a comparable position in a hospital and/or clinical setting • BLS/ACLS Certification • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred Apply tot his job
