Admin/VA — Data Engineer — iOS Developer | Hourspent

We have a multi-phase project with three roles or skill sets needed. We are looking for Pittsburgh-based data entry expert/virtual assistant/Admin. We are also looking for Power BI Developer / Data Engineer and iOS developer. Here's a breakdown of the requirements: Initial Phase: Data Entry & AI Extraction Virtual Assistant/Admin Task: Extract data from 10000+ hard-copy records using AI likely OCR or document scanning tools. Skills Needed: Data entry/Excel proficiency familiarity with AI-based document scanning e.g. Adobe Scan ABBYY or Python OCR tools like Tesseract attention to detail historical records may require manual verification. Location Requirement: Pittsburgh-based since records are on-site. Suggested Approach: Use AI tools e.g. Microsoft Power Automate + AI Builder Google Document AI ChatGPT to scan and digitize records. Clean and structure data in Excel or Google Sheets. Second Phase: Power BI Developer / Data Engineer Task: Build a backend database and create dashboards for reporting. Skills Needed: Power BI or Tableau for dashboards SQL to structure the database ETL knowledge to move data from Excel to a structured format. Optional: Python/R for advanced data cleaning. Suggested Approach: Migrate Excel data into a SQL database PostgreSQL MySQL or even Power BI Dataflows. Develop interactive dashboards in Power BI for management reporting. Third Phase: iOS App Development Task: Build an iPad app to replace paper forms with barcode scanning and digital data entry. Skills Needed: Swift iOS development barcode scanning integration Apple’s Vision framework or third-party libraries like Scandit sync functionality to push data to the backend. This is a three separate job roles Admin/VA → Data Engineer → iOS Developer. 1. Pittsburgh-based Admin handles scanning + Excel. 2. Remote Power BI/Data Engineer sets up database + dashboards. 3.
