Admin Assistant - Enrollment Specialist - Minnesota Connections Academy

About the position

This hybrid role (two in-office days, three remote) provides administrative support for student enrollment. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for a variety of daily tasks, including answering phones and emails, corresponding with families and other school districts regarding enrollment, greeting visitors, supporting administrators, and performing other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
• Assist families through the application process and address general program questions
• Evaluate and verify documents submitted in the Enrollment Portal to ensure accuracy and compliance with enrollment requirements
• Assist families, school districts, and county Social Workers with enrollment-related inquiries
• Send outgoing requests for records to schools for enrolling students
• Monitor enrollment flag reports and collaborate with Assistant Principals to proactively resolve issues impacting student enrollment
• Partner with school Social Workers to streamline the enrollment process for families who qualify for McKinney-Vento services
• Manage communication with Pearson regarding technology fulfillment and ensure laptops are shipped promptly to new families
• Enter student data into the state reporting system
• Assist administration with a wide variety of special projects
• Answer phones and greet guests
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements
• High school diploma required
• 1–2 years of similar administrative experience preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based applications
• Proficiency with Google applications (Mail, Calendar, Drive, Hangouts, Documents, etc.)
• Basic accounting knowledge preferred
• Intermediate skill level in MS Excel
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality (FERPA)
• Customer-focused approach
• High degree of flexibility
• Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Nice-to-haves
• 1–2 years of similar administrative experience preferred
• Basic accounting knowledge preferred
