Actuary
Summary / Objective
Serve as the technical expert and project manager for the annual funding, accounting, and compliance requirements for defined benefit pension plans.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Leverage tools and resources to provide clients with innovative and effective solutions
ā¢ Assist in the development and delivery of quality client communication and deliverables in support of Senior Consultants
ā¢ Prepare and manage internal project deadlines
ā¢ Prepare, technically review, and serve as primary contact to clients on annual service offerings
ā¢ Review pension benefit calculations in accordance with plan provisions, Internal Revenue Code, ERISA, and other legal regulations
ā¢ Oversee annual employee pension statement projects
ā¢ Assist in completing and managing non-routine client work such as plan design, plan termination, benefit statements, and other special projects
ā¢ Assist in the development and training of student-level staff
Skills & Qualifications
ā¢ Bachelor degree in math, actuarial science, or other related field
ā¢ One or more credentials from the Society of Actuaries or Joint Board of Enrolled actuaries required
ā¢ If not fully credentialed, pursuit of FSA is required
ā¢ ProVal experience a strong plus
ā¢ Project management experience
ā¢ Strong communication skills, including client consulting and presentations
