What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Perform actuarial tasks that involve mathematical and quantitative analysis
Analyze hospital, professional, and drug claim/utilization trends, along with demographic data
Complete pricing analysis, financial projections, and other actuarial calculations
Develop and implement analyses for special projects and ensure quality deliverables
Provide technical and analytical support for the actuarial department
What Is Required (Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related finance/business degree
3 - 5+ years of relevant professional work experience and/or education
Progress toward obtaining actuarial credentials, including sitting for a minimum of one exam per year
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Proficient in MS Office and knowledgeable in SQL, R, Python, or similar programming languages
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Actuarial/analytical experience in a healthcare environment
Experience with data extraction, simulations, and automation techniques
