Actuarial Analyst – Financial & Professional Lines

The Actuarial Analyst – Financial & Professional Lines will support various business lines, including Cyber and Liability, by developing pricing models and engaging with underwriting teams while working closely with experienced actuaries.ResponsibilitiesAssist with building and maintaining pricing models to support the Cyber, Professions and Financial Lines business unitsPerform other actuarial duties including, but not limited to, performing profitability and rate adequacy studies, competitor research, running internal and external models, and reinsurance supportEngage with the underwriting teamsFind innovative and creative ways to leverage data and analytics to support the pricing and underwriting functionsTake on other ad hoc work and projects as time permits and under the direction of other members of the Insurance Pricing teamRemain current on industry trends, tools, and actuarial techniquesSkillsBachelor's degree in actuarial science, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field; or the equivalent in related work experience0-3 years of actuarial experienceProven track record of creative problem solving and attention to detailAbility to process and adapt to change in a rapid growth new-company environmentTwo or more exams passed preferred; desire to pursue actuarial credential encouraged (which would be supported by Vantage)Project work requiring scripting and programming languages is strongly preferred: R and SQL as examplesExcel VBA experience is a plusBenefitsPerformance-based bonus potentialStrong health & welfare benefitsRetirement plans with company matchCompetitive time off plansA highly flexible work environmentCompany OverviewVantage Group Holdings Ltd.
