Actuarial Analyst

The Actuarial Analyst will play a significant role in achieving the company’s profitability objectives by analyzing data, enhancing reporting processes, and supporting various teams within the organization. Responsibilities Complete quarterly reporting to analyze and monitor the profitability of group insurance products Identify and implement enhancements to reporting processes to support our efficiency initiatives Create and/or populate actuarial models to price various group life products and revisions Provide support to the underwriting team for large/complex quotes Communicate with reinsurance partners regarding quotations and technical pricing models and evaluate/review reinsurance treaties Support the implementation and testing of new products or product changes in quotation tools and administrative systems Adapt current business processes and tools to test and accommodate the roll-out of new IT systems and data sources Skills University degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Finance, or another closely related field Exceptional analytical skills with a strong attention to detail Demonstrated interest and experience in process improvement and automation initiatives Experience building, documenting, and maintaining business process models Strong problem‑solving skills with proven ability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues within complex data sets Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative project team English is requirement, written and verbal, to provide services to our customers and communicate with internal stakeholders Progress toward ASA and/or ACIA designation considered an asset Knowledge of group insurance products considered an asset Bilingualism (EN/FR) is considered an asset Benefits Paid benefits and perks to keep you at your very best Company Overview Medavie Health Services is a health care delivery company that provides clinical training, emergency and non-emergency medical services.
