Were seeking an experienced Lead Accounts Payable Clerk to join our clients team in a remote role. This position involves managing complex AP tasks, improving processes, and ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations. Candidates must reside in the Greater St. Louis, MO area. Schedule: 8:30 AM 5:00 PM Eastern Time
Responsibilities:
Process AP transactions and code invoices to GL accounts.
Manage complex vendor invoices and resolve discrepancies.
Reconcile vendor statements and maintain payment records.
Prepare the weekly AP Aging Report for payment decisions.
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
Process weekly check runs and electronic payments.
Assist with audits and 1099 documentation.
Oversee employee travel expense processing.
Collaborate on process improvements and special projects.
Qualifications:
4-6 years of AP experience
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables & VLOOKUPs)
Associate degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelors preferred)
