Accounts Payable Clerk (Remote or Hybrid)

Responsibilities
• Prepare and process bills from purchase orders and other approved bills.
• Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
• Charges expenses to accounts, cost centers and locations by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries.
• Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities; verifying federal ID numbers; resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; insuring credit is received for outstanding memos.
• Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
• Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
• Ability to process and follow-up on rush items.
• Maintains accounts payable files.
• 1099 preparation.
• Special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
• Required 2-5 years’ experience general ledger
• Required 2-3 years’ experience MS Excel and Word
• Required 3 years’ experience QuickBooks and/or NetSuite
• Preferred Accounting/Business Degree
