Accounts Payable Clerk

They are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk who will be responsible for processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices for payment, with opportunities for career growth in the finance field. Responsibilities Post high volume AP invoices and personal expenses Manage the AP invoice entry to ensure all items are posted before the weekly cheque run Ensure proper approvals are obtained, code invoices, and post into SAP Use the PO system to pay suppliers and maintain a reconciliation between our system and the vendor Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries Reconcile vendor statements Review accounts payable sub-ledger Additional duties as required Skills You have a high attention to detail and a passion for numbers Analytical thinker, you enjoy investigating and understanding where the issues stem from Ability to manage high workloads, prioritize effectively, and meet demanding timelines in a fast-paced environment Highly motivated, resourceful, and reliable, with the ability to work independently or in a team Possess a strong work ethic and a positive attitude Able to uphold a high-level of confidentiality when working with sensitive business information Diploma or degree in Accounting, or similar educational background Experience in accounts payable or bookkeeping Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel Experience handling a high volume of transactions Good verbal and written communication skills Working knowledge of SAP would be considered an asset Customer service skills would be considered an asset Benefits Group benefits (health, dental, and vision coverage) A Group RSP program A 40% discount on Urban Barn products Opportunities for professional development and advancement Company Overview Urban Barn is a furniture and accessories company.
