Description
American Builders is seeking an Accounting Operations Coordinator to support the day-to-day financial and administrative operations of the company. This role will be responsible for helping manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, vendor documentation, payment organization, and payroll support. The right person is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to follow through.Core responsibilitiesProcess and organize vendor invoices, receipts, and payment requestsAssist with accounts payable workflows, including invoice review, coding, approvals, and payment trackingAssist with accounts receivable workflows, including invoice follow-up, account status review, and collections supportMaintain accurate vendor files, W-9s, COIs, and supporting documentationAudit receipts, payment backup, and material-related records for completeness and accuracyHelp monitor outstanding balances, due dates, and payment schedulesSupport payroll administration, spreadsheet tracking, and related reportingMaintain organized digital and physical filing systems for accounting and vendor recordsWhat we are looking for2+ years of experience in accounting support, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, bookkeeping, or a related operations roleStrong attention to detail and follow-throughStrong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple deadlinesExperience with QuickBooks, Excel, and digital file managementAbility to communicate clearly with vendors, internal staff, and leadershipConstruction, vendor-heavy, or project-based environment experience is a plusPreferred traitsProactive and self-directedStrong documentation habits
