Accounting Associate - Client Services
At Brightway Advisors, we help small to mid-sized businesses manage their accounting with accuracy, insight, and care. We are looking for a Financial Operations Associate (FOA) to join our fully remote team.
This is more than a transactional accounting role. You will work directly with clients, support their financial operations, and build trusted relationships. We believe in promoting from within, so this role offers a clear path to a Senior Associate position and, for those interested, future management opportunities.

What You’ll Do
• Handle accounts payable/receivable, journal entries, and monthly closings
• Support client onboarding and ongoing engagement
• Prepare and analyze financial reports
• Assist with payroll and HR administration tasks
• Manage client communications through email and other channels
• Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality client service
• Suggest improvements and identify ways to add client value
• Engage in training, feedback, and continuing education
What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Current QuickBooks Online Certification, or willingness to obtain one prior to starting (certification can be completed for free with a QuickBooks Online account)
• At least 5 years of transactional accounting experience, ideally with small to mid-sized businesses
• Prior experience in a multi-client environment strongly preferred
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and/or other cloud-based accounting systems
• Proficiency in Excel
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and client service mindset
• Comfort working independently in a remote setting
