About the position

Family Service is a nonprofit counseling and human service agency that has been rooted in Chester County, PA since 1947. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing our company's financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting procedures. This position is part-time with the potential to transition into a full-time role as job responsibilities broaden. The Accounting Assistant will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of financial transactions, assisting in the preparation of financial statements and audits, processing accounts payable and receivable transactions, and reconciling bank statements and financial data. You will also support budgeting and forecasting activities and utilize financial software such as QuickBooks. Additionally, you will provide administrative support to the accounting department, ensuring that all financial operations run smoothly and efficiently. As a member of our team, you will contribute to our mission of providing life-changing support to individuals and families in Chester County.
