Accounting Analyst III

The Accounting Analyst III will support the Statutory Reporting team by preparing financial reports and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, while managing multiple accounting activities in a fast-paced environment.ResponsibilitiesPrepare quarterly and annual statutory financial statements and supporting schedulesManage reporting for assigned entities, ensuring timely and accurate regulatory filingsSupport month-end and quarter-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysisPerform variance analysis and maintain analytical schedules to support financial resultsExecute control checks, data validations, and compliance activitiesReview documentation for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to guidelinesCollaborate cross-functionally to resolve discrepancies and ensure alignmentContribute to process improvements, including use of automation or emerging toolsManage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, reporting-driven environmentSkills0–2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related fieldFoundational knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/statutory preferred)Strong Excel skills required; experience with financial systems (e.g., SAP) a plusCPA or CPA-track preferredStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple deadlines and prioritiesEffective communication and collaboration skillsDetail-oriented with strong ownership mindsetInterest in automation, data tools, or AI is a plusCompany OverviewAllstate is an insurance company that offers car, home, and life insurance services.
