This is a hands-on role, often juggling multiple projects at once.Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities: • Perform A/R and A/P accounting functions including entering invoices, processing payments, and sending invoices • Manage accounts receivable collections • Book monthly/annual journal entries • Assist with maintaining payroll records and recording payroll journal entries • Complete monthly/annual general ledger account reconciliations • Assist with various audits including financial statement audits, sales tax audits, personal property audits, and payroll tax audits • Maintain organized and accurate accounting records and provide documentation when requested • Reconcile monthly credit card statements • Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required from time to time - quite often on short noticeSkills or Experience Required • Relevant AR & AP experience (Tech or E-Retail industry experience a plus) • Knowledge of accounting software (NetSuite a plus) • Detail oriented and well-organized • Excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done • Ability to multitask and juggle multiple projects at one time • Things that would put you over the top: • Degree in accounting or business with an emphasis in accounting • Professional accreditation in accountingSupervisory Responsibilities:This position does not supervise the work of others.Physical Requirements:The physical demands of this position are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform essential functions of this job.
