Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant with 3–5 years of professional experience to join our growing finance team. This is a fully remote position based in Tunisia. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting financial reporting activities, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and financial transactions.
Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow activities.
Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
Prepare financial reports, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and supporting schedules.
Ensure compliance with Tunisian accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
Support tax filings, VAT declarations, and audit requirements.
Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders in a remote work environment.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
Maintain proper documentation and filing of accounting records.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3–6 years of relevant accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
Familiarity with Tunisian tax regulations and statutory compliance requirements.
Experience with ERP systems and accounting software (SAP, Oracle, Sage, Odoo, or equivalent).
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent is an advantage.
Experience with IFRS reporting standards.
Experience working in multinational organizations or shared services environments.
Prior experience supporting remote or global teams.
