Accountant - Preferred Location: Las Colinas, TX
Gemini, Inc. is a leader in the signage manufacturing industry, and they are seeking an experienced Corporate Accountant to join their team. This role is responsible for supporting the Finance Department's daily performance and processes, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with GAAP, and partnering with manufacturing facilities for month-end activities and process improvements.ResponsibilitiesSupport day-to-day accounting operations while ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policiesMaintain the general ledger and related systems to ensure accurate and timely reportingAssisting in preparing financial statements, cost reports and operational analysisSupport inventory accounting processes, including perpetual inventory tracking and product costingHelp develop and communicate cost allocations across departmentsPerform treasury functions processing wire transfers and ACH paymentsAssist with the annual budgeting process and periodic forecast updatesPrepare and file Sales & Use tax returns for U.S and Canadian jurisdictionsMaintain fixed asset records, including additions, disposals and depreciation trackingSupport regulatory and government reporting, including Census filingsParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging LEAN principlesPrepare and distribute daily sales reporting and provide insights to business partnersProvide data analysis and reporting support to cross-functional business partnersAssist with external audit requests and tax-related documentation requestsContribute to special projects and perform other duties as assignedSkillsBachelor's degree in accounting1-3 years of related accounting experienceWorking knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and month-end close processesExperience supporting inventory accounting and controls; exposure to manufacturing environments is a plusStrong attention to detail with the ability to research and resolve accounting issues effectivelyDemonstrated ability to build collaborative working relationships across departments and with external partnersExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearlyProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plusStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify trends and think critically about financial dataPrior experience in a manufacturing or operations-focused environment preferred but not requiredBenefits$0 Health Insurance Premium for Employee-Only Coverage (Plus low-cost premiums for other coverage levels!)4% Retirement Match with Profit SharingGenerous Paid Time Off (Vacation, Holiday, Parental, Volunteer, and Sick)Dental, Vision, Disability and Life InsuranceUse of Company Owned Resort in Hayward, WITuition Reimbursement ProgramCompany OverviewGemini is a wholesale manufacturer of solutions that identify, direct, and protect the world.
