Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Part-Time Accountant to manage our financial records and ensure compliance with tax regulations. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional looking to contribute to the financial health of multiple enterprises.
Key Responsibilities:
Ā Prepare and file local, state and federal tax declarations for various enterprises.
Ā Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, invoices, receipts, and payments.
Ā Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements and financial records.
Ā Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
Ā Generate financial reports, including but not limited to, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
Ā Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
Ā Conduct periodic audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Ā Monitor and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Ā Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and support strategic business decisions.
Ā Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities as needed.
Ā Provide financial advice and insights to support strategic decision-making.
Ā Stay updated with changes in tax laws and accounting standards.
Qualifications:
Ā Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Ā Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification preferred.
Ā Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in managing multiple enterprises.
Ā In-depth knowledge of tax regulations and accounting principles.
Ā Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Xero, Sage
50) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ā Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ā Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ā Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Ā Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ā Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
