Accountant – Financial Reporting & Analysis

Job Summary We are seeking a Accountant with a strong foundation in full-cycle accounting and some financial analysis experience. This is a hands-on accounting role managing multiple clients, delivering accurate financial reporting, and maintaining clean processes and systems. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, and comfortable working directly with clients. Responsibilities: • Manage full-cycle accounting across multiple clients, including AP, AR, payroll review, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting. • Prepare and review financial statements, identify key trends, and provide insights as needed. • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. • Implement and maintain accounting systems, primarily NetSuite,QuickBooks Online, Sage (nice to have) to streamline processes. • Assist with cash flow management, working capital tracking, and operational reporting. • Serve as a primary point of contact for client accounting needs, ensuring accurate and reliable financial records. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation (preferred) or CPA-track. • Strong full-cycle accounting experience (accrual accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, revenue recognition, accounts payable, etc.) • Client-facing experience managing multiple clients or entities. • Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, SEC regulations (if applicable), and regulatory reporting standards. • Proficiency with accounting software such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage, Ramp, Bill.com or similar platforms; advanced Excel (advanced functionality for reporting and analysis) • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and maintain high attention to detail. Contract Structure • 3-month initial contract at CA$40–$45/hour. • Conversion to full-time role with health benefits after successful completion.
