Accountant / Bookkeeper
About the Role: We’re looking for a detail-oriented Accountant/Bookkeeper to support the financial operations of multiple small businesses, primarily in the commercial real estate space. This is a remote position, but candidates must be based in Tennessee. You’ll be responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping, financial reporting, and compliance filings. CPA certification is not required but would be a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and reconcile QuickBooks accounts across multiple businesses
• Prepare and submit state filings and compliance-related reports
• Generate basic financial statements and assist with budgeting
• Manage accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations
• Support audit prep and ensure accurate, organized recordkeeping
Requirements:
• 3+ years of bookkeeping or internal/third-party accounting experience
• Strong proficiency with QuickBooks
• Familiarity with commercial real estate accounting is preferred
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Based in Tennessee and authorized to work in the U.S.
• CPA is not required but ideal
