Accountant

ISTA Personnel Solutions South Africa is a global Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) company partnering with a USA-based client in the healthcare sector. We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant with experience in USA accounting standards and practices. This remote role requires a detail-oriented and proactive professional who can handle the accounting function in alignment with US GAAP and healthcare industry regulations.PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: Working Hours: This role requires you to work USA hours, Mon - Fri, from 9am to 6pm EST time (16h00pm to 01h00am South African time - subject to change depending on daylight savings) Work Environment: This is a remote role for South African Citizens only. Internet Requirements: A fixed fibre line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps (upload & download) and the ability to support a wired Ethernet connection is mandatory. Applicants without a fixed fibre line cannot be considered. Power Backup: A reliable power backup solution is required to manage load shedding and power outages. Applicants without a power backup cannot be considered. Responsibilities: Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US accounting standards (GAAP) Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and financial audits Collaborate with the US-based finance team to optimize financial processes Ensure compliance with healthcare finance regulations and company policies Requirements South African Citizen (SA ID Required) Must have relevant accounting experience, specifically with USA-based companies Experience with healthcare accounting is a plus Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills If you are not contacted within 14 working days, please consider your application unsuccessful.
