They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to manage various accounting responsibilities including expense reviews, inventory reconciliation, and vendor payments.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and enter various journal entriesReconcile and analyze general ledger accountsReconcile inventory monthlyManage service contracts and warranty contracts, post related journal entriesPrepare reports required for monthly and quarterly financial statementsGather worked hours from Workday, review for accuracy, and import to ERPReconcile monthly sales taxReconcile AR/AP/Credit Card accounts and subledgers monthlyReview the fixed and intangible asset sub ledgerParticipate in audits and physical inventoriesInvestigate questionable data and recommend actions to resolve discrepanciesFile/scan documents on as-needed basisReview employee expenses reports for accuracy and complianceRespond to vendor inquiries and resolve A/P issues by working with other departments and the vendorEnter invoices in ERP system (MS Business Central) and/or generate weekly payment runs, as backupObtain W-9s from new vendors and follow vendor set up procedurePrepare annual 1099s issued to appropriate vendorsEnter expenses for German wholly owned subsidiary and affiliate company (EUR)Self-assess use tax when applicableAssist with value-added tax (VAT) reportingReview Sales Orders for accuracyAdd new customers to ERP system, after credit approval by VP of FinanceAssist in the preparation of customer invoicesTrack aging and make collection calls/follow-ups as neededApply customer payments to appropriate accountEscalate problems as neededAssist in annual preparation of company BudgetSupports development of junior staff or internsOther projects as assignedSkillsBachelor's Degree in Accounting required1-2 years' experience performing accounting workExceptional integrity, professionalism, detail-orientation, and organizationFamiliarity with both small and large company processesFamiliarity with manufacturing businesses a plusExperience with ERP systems – Microsoft Business Central is a plusHigh Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, and OutlookCPA study or aspiration desiredFamiliarity with Microsoft PowerBI a plusBenefitsStrong company cultureCompetitive Compensation with BonusesGreat health benefits with the company paying over 80% of insurance premiumsWellness ProgramPaid Time OffStrong company match to 401(k) contributionsTuition reimbursement programGiving ProgramPaid Parental LeaveCompany OverviewAs a global partner to the biopharmaceutical industry, Asahi Kasei Bioprocess helps biologics manufacturers safely and efficiently produce medicines that patients can trust, by dependably supplying innovative yet exceptionally reliable bioprocess consumables, equipment and scientific support services.
