The Financial Accountant will act with integrity ensuring accurate accounting and reporting results on a monthly and annual basis.
The Financial Accountant is primarily responsible for preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations. This position will also provide assistance with month- end closing responsibilities, data collection and preparation of monthly metrics.
The role is ideally suited to someone keen to expand their SaaS knowledge and overall business experience in a dynamic, Global environment.
Main Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly financial reports and analysis to support management decision making
Assist with the preparation of monthly financial accounts including duties ranging from prepayment / PO accrual posting, loan interest posting, GL account variance analysis etc
Provide financial insight and analysis to stakeholders across the business
Prepare financial reporting to various stakeholders on a timely basis
Manage the preparation of statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors
Assist with managing the day-to-day operations of the accounting function liaising with other functions in the finance department
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
Contribute to process improvement initiatives, including automation & AI adoption
Essential Criteria
Qualified Chartered accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) - part qualified considered
Experience of contributing to month end close processes including reconciliations
Experience with accounting software and financial systems
Demonstrate high performance under pressure, consistently meeting tight deadlines while setting clear expectations and fostering a culture of accountability.
Strong communication skills in a Global environment
1+ years of industry experience
Desirable Criteria
Experience in a similar role in a technology or software company
Experience with SAGE accounting software
Experience with US GAAP as well as UK GAAP
