Accountant
The NRP Group LLC is a recognized full-service multifamily developer and property manager. They are seeking a Staff Property Management Accountant who will support the day-to-day accounting and financial reporting of multifamily properties, including preparing journal entries and assisting with audits.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and post journal entries, accruals, and recurring transactionsPerform monthly bank, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliationsAssist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statementsSupport the month-end and year-end close processesMaintain accounting schedules and ensure accuracy of financial dataAssist with tracking and reporting requirements for LIHTC, HUD, and other affordable housing programsSupport compliance and regulatory reporting in collaboration with the teamHelp maintain documentation and files for investor and syndicator reviewsAssist with cash flow tracking, reporting packages, and financial summariesWork with senior accountants to deliver accurate financial information to ownership groups and partnersHelp analyze variances and communicate findings with guidanceAssist with the preparation of audit schedules and PBC (Prepared By Client) documentationSupport the budgeting process by gathering data and assisting with templates and inputsWork closely with Property Management, Compliance, and Asset Management to ensure accurate reportingParticipate in team meetings and cross-functional collaborationTake the initiative to grow accounting knowledge, affordable housing understanding, and systems expertiseSkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field requiredProficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, basic financial modeling)High attention to detail and accuracyEagerness to learn and grow in a team-oriented environmentAbility to meet deadlines and manage multiple prioritiesStrong communication skills and willingness to collaborateAnalytical mindset and commitment to continuous improvement1–3 years of professional accounting experience preferredExperience in multi-family real estateExposure to property management, real estate, or affordable housing accountingExperience with Yardi (preferred), MRI, or other property management/accounting platformsBenefitsCommission and bonus opportunitiesPaid vacation and sick leave11 Paid holidaysPaid maternity & parental bonding leaveShort & long term disabilityMedical/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance401(k) MatchTraining, certification, & growth opportunitiesEmployee referral & recognition programsCompany OverviewThe NRP Group is a vertically integrated developer, owner, builder, and manager of best-in-class multifamily housing with a mission to create exceptional rental housing communities for individuals and families, regardless of income.
