About the RoleWe’re hiring an Account Manager to build, manage, and grow relationships with suppliers on Civic Marketplace. You’ll be responsible for ensuring suppliers are successful on the platform, helping them win business, increase visibility, and expand their footprint across public sector buyers.This is a highly strategic and execution-oriented role. You’ll act as a trusted partner to suppliers, guiding them on how to position themselves, respond to opportunities, and maximize ROI from Civic Marketplace. At the same time, you’ll directly drive revenue growth through renewals, expansions, and upsells.You’ll sit at the intersection of marketplace dynamics, customer success, and revenue playing a critical role in scaling Civic Marketplace’s supplier ecosystem.What You’ll DoOwn supplier success & revenue retentionEnsure suppliers see clear ROI through pipeline generation and contract winsOwn retention (GRR) and expansion (NRR), with revenue growth as the output.Build and manage supplier relationshipsAct as the primary point of contact for suppliers on Civic MarketplaceDevelop strong, trust-based relationships with founders, sales leaders, and GTM teamsGuide suppliers on how to position their offerings for public sector buyersDrive supplier performance on the platformHelp suppliers improve their profiles, offerings, and responsivenessAdvise on best practices for RFQs, shortlists, and cooperative contract positioningProactively identify ways to increase supplier visibility and win ratesLead strategic reviews & insightsConduct regular business reviews with suppliers to assess performance and growth opportunitiesProvide data-driven insights on buyer behavior, demand trends, and procurement patternsAlign supplier strategies with Civic Marketplace’s evolving product and marketplace dynamicsPartner cross-functionallyCollaborate with Customer Success, Product, and Partnerships teams to improve supplier experienceFeed supplier insights into product development (e.g., onboarding, search, RFQ flows)Support go-to-market initiatives that drive supplier acquisition and engagementWhy You’ll Love This RoleFoundational impactShape how Civic Marketplace builds and scales its supplier-side success playbook from the ground upMarketplace leverageWork on both sides of a two-sided marketplace—directly influencing supply, demand, and transaction velocityMission-driven workHelp local governments access better vendors while enabling businesses (including SMBs and HUBs) to win public sector workOwnership & visibilityOwn a critical growth lever with direct impact on revenue, supplier retention, and marketplace liquidityFast-moving environmentBe part of a high-velocity team building the future of public procurementYou Might Be a Good Fit If You:Have strong account management / CSM experience2–4 years in Account Management, Customer Success, or SalesProven track record of driving renewals, expansions, or revenue growthExperience in B2B SaaS or marketplace businesses is a strong plusUnderstand how to drive customer outcomesYou think beyond “support” and focus on measurable success (revenue, pipeline, adoption)You can translate product capabilities into business outcomesHave strong commercial instinctsComfortable identifying upsell opportunities and driving conversations around valueAble to balance relationship-building with revenue ownershipAre highly proactive and execution-orientedYou don’t wait for issues—you anticipate and solve themYou’re comfortable operating in ambiguity and building processes from scratchHave an interest in public sector or marketplacesBonus: experience in government, procurement, or working with vendors selling into the public sectorBonus: experience working with SMBs or diverse suppliersInterview ProcessWe move fast — really fast.
