Account Manager, Hospitality

About the position

160over90 is seeking an Account Manager to join the Hospitality Team. The Account Manager will play an integral role in leading and executing hospitality focused experiential programming for key 160/90 clients across multiple US markets. This role involves managing, planning, coordinating, and executing client activation and event strategies, interacting daily with clients, partner agencies, properties, vendors, and other stakeholders. The position requires maintaining proactive communication, participating in ideation and development of activation plans, and liaising with internal and external teams. The Account Manager will also be responsible for developing presentations, managing creative approval processes, overseeing success metrics, and handling administrative and budget matters, including vendor payments and program forecasting.

Responsibilities
β€’ Lead the management, planning, coordination, and execution of client’s activation and event strategy and execution across multiple US markets
β€’ Interact daily with client, partner agencies, properties, vendors, and other stakeholders relevant to support client activation initiatives
β€’ Maintains initiative-taking, positive, and open line of communication with client and account teams to ensure understanding of deliverable timelines and roles and responsibilities
β€’ Participate in the ideation, development and implementation of activation plans against the established criteria
β€’ Liaise/interface with internal cross-functional departments and with external agency partners and vendors
β€’ Develop presentations and client materials to support activation and or event strategy and implementation
β€’ Manage all creative ideation approval processes with key stakeholders and clients
β€’ Assist with strategic and creative concept development
β€’ Provide oversight and management of success metrics, internal tracking documents, weekly updates and program recaps
β€’ Maintain final electronic files through the process as required by company standard operating procedures
β€’ Manage activation related administrational and budget/accounting matters, including payments to vendors
β€’ Responsible for accurate program forecasting and updating business management system with current financials up until the file is turned over to operations
β€’ Ability to negotiate preferred rates, terms and conditions, along with understanding of common contractual industry elements that influence key decisions
β€’ High level of accuracy and diligence.

Requirements
β€’ Bachelor's Degree
β€’ A minimum of 5+ years of agency or client-based experiential marketing, account management, hospitality or similar planning background
β€’ Experience in planning, sourcing, and designing with a hotel, convention center, DMC, Production Company, or 3rd Party Agency
β€’ Previous experience in managing internal team members
β€’ Capable of managing multiple projects independently and diligently while delivering under time pressure towards pre-defined goals
β€’ Prior experience managing day-to-day relationships with client, agency(s) and vendors
β€’ Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and attention to detail
β€’ Enthusiastic and flexible team player with proactive approach to think strategically and creatively
β€’ Ability to problem-solve independently and in groups
β€’ Willing and able to work nonstandard work hours, weekends and travel as required
β€’ Ability to plan and carry out responsibilities with passion, a can-do attitude, and minimal direction
β€’ A team player with a positive attitude who can handle stressful situations and deadlines calmly

Nice-to-haves
β€’ Certified Meeting Professional, Meeting Manager, Event Professional (CMP, CMM, CSEP), Project Management certifications or similar preferred.
