Account Manager

Responsibilities / Position overview:
The Account Manager will ensure successful management of accounts on a day-to-day basis from the execution to completion of client projects. As the Account Manager, you serve as the primary client contact and will be responsible for facilitating and tracking projects and financial deliverables and work closely with the project team members to communicate client needs and expectations, ensure timelines are developing, and potential issues are identified and resolved. Additional responsibilities include:Prepare for and lead internal and client status meetingsUnderstand and ensure the team follows all client required standard operating procedures and requirementsAlert other internal departments of resourcing needsDraft scope of work and budgets based on client direction and ensure internal alignment and approval before submitting to client for review/approval/processingMonitor and adhere to approved budgetsReport budget changes (i.e. change in scope that may lead to overage) to the client in a timely mannerMaintain accurate financial spreadsheets to support internal and client needsSubmit invoices, accruals, etc. in a timely manner consistent with both internal and client directed SOPsPrepare for and is accountable for actions discussed in monthly revenue and forecasting meetingsProvide timely and accurate project status updates and client requested reportsActively strive to drive organic growth on assigned accounts by developing and maintaining excellent, positive client relationships and providing a high-quality serviceSupport and guide junior members of the team; provide training and mentoring on administrative and process-related tasks as requiredWork efficiently with members of the Meeting Planning department in a proactive and organized manner to ensure proper coordination and execution of virtual and live events
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree4 plus years of account management experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industriesAbility to travel as neededExcellent project management skills, including organization, prioritization, and delegatingDemonstrated understanding of the clinical development process and strategic communication planningExcellent financial acumen
