Account Executive

They are seeking an early-career Account Executive to manage the full sales cycle for SMB accounts and contribute to a team culture of transparency and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Own the full sales cycle from discovery through close on SMB accounts Manage a pipeline of active opportunities and move deals forward consistently Own the sales cycle from discovery, to demo to close Hit monthly and quarterly quotas and track performance accurately in HubSpot Learn the trades industries we serve (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) and develop expertise that makes you a trusted advisor Contribute to a team culture of transparency, competitiveness, and continuous improvement Skills 1 to 2 years of experience in a sales role (SMB, inside sales, or similar) Demonstrated ability to have real conversations with prospects, handle objections, and move deals forward Hunger to improve: you want coaching, you take feedback, and you apply it Strong communication skills: clear, direct, and confident without being pushy Organized and accountable: you keep your pipeline clean and your commitments Competitive mindset and a high standard for your own performance Comfort in a fast-moving startup environment where processes are still being built Located in the Triangle area (Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill): this role is hybrid, with regular in-office time Company Overview Ply develops a materials procurement platform to assist skilled trades with capital access and cash flow management.
