Zayo is seeking an Account Director to support large enterprise customers with their mission-critical network and infrastructure needs, particularly with large-scale telecommunications companies, data centers, or cloud service providers. The successful candidate will develop strong executive-level relationships and drive sales across Zayo’s full portfolio, including Connectivity, Colocation, and Infrastructure solutions. This role is responsible for achieving revenue growth through strategic account management, proactive prospecting, and new customer acquisition.

Our Account Director will operate as a trusted advisor, bringing thought leadership and a consultative, solution-based selling approach to align Zayo’s capabilities with customer business objectives. Success in this role requires the ability to identify complex customer challenges, develop and execute strategic account plans, and lead multi-stakeholder opportunities from discovery through close.

The ideal candidate thrives in an autonomous environment, demonstrates strong business and financial acumen, and consistently meets or exceeds sales targets while driving meaningful customer engagement and long-term value.

Location: This remote work position will consider applicants that reside in the continental United States, preferably in the Central and Eastern Time Zone.

Responsibilities
Drive revenue growth within large enterprise accounts by positioning Zayo’s full portfolio of connectivity, colocation, and infrastructure solutions.

Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned to customer business goals and growth initiatives.

Build and maintain executive-level relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and bringing insight-driven thought leadership to customer engagements.

Proactively identify, develop, and close new opportunities through consultative, solution-based selling.

Lead complex sales cycles from discovery through close, including solution development, proposal delivery, and negotiation.

Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets through disciplined pipeline development and management.

Maintain and expand existing customer relationships by identifying whitespace and securing long-term commitments.

Partner cross-functionally to design and deliver solutions that meet customer requirements and drive successful outcomes.

Maintain accurate pipeline, activity tracking, and forecasting in Salesforce and related tools.

Provide timely and accurate reporting, forecasts, and updates to leadership.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in solution-based selling within technology, telecommunications, or infrastructure environments.

Proven success selling into large enterprise or complex accounts with consistent achievement of sales targets.

Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to align solutions to customer business challenges and outcomes.

Demonstrated ability to build executive relationships and operate as a trusted advisor.

Strong business and financial acumen.

Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Experience managing complex sales cycles and multi-stakeholder deals.

Self-motivated with the ability to operate effectively in an autonomous environment.

Proficiency with Salesforce and standard business tools such as Excel and PowerPoint.

Understanding of network, cloud, and infrastructure solutions such as Ethernet, IP, dark fiber, colocation, and cloud connectivity.

Estimated Base Salary Range: $85,400.00 - $113,900.00 USD/annually.

The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.

Additionally, this position may be eligible for certain benefits, such as health insurance, life insurance, disability retirement plans, paid time off.
