About the Role The Academic Advisement team at Hallmark University plays a vital role in guiding students through their academic journey, from matriculation to graduation. As an Academic Advisor, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to on-ground and online students, helping them navigate academic policies, procedures, and resources. This is a 100% remote opportunity, offering you the flexibility to work from anywhere while making a significant impact on our students' lives. Key Responsibilities Design and implement comprehensive academic advising and support services for on-ground and online students, ensuring a seamless and inclusive experience. Conduct regular student success reviews, identifying areas for improvement and providing personalized recommendations to enhance student outcomes. Collaborate with Student Life and Development, Academics, and the Learning Resource Center to develop effective study strategies, tutoring, time management, and accountability measures that promote student retention and success. Utilize analytics and data management systems to track student progress, generate attendance reports, review Academic Standing, confirm degree audits, and verify graduation requirements. Process and manage academic and attendance probationary status changes, ensuring compliance with University policies and procedures. Develop and implement personalized academic plans, tracking student progress and reporting on activities to respective Department Deans. Identify "at-risk" students in partnership with Student Success, Financial Planning, the Office of the Registrar, and Department Deans, and communicate the implications of various policies and procedures related to academic and attendance policy. Provide exceptional customer service, responding to student inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. Maintain confidentiality of student records in compliance with FERPA, state law, and college policies. Participate in on-campus and off-campus student activities to promote a sense of community and enhance the overall student experience. Essential Qualifications and Experience To be considered for this role, you must possess: A minimum Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university. At least one year of experience in Academic Advising at an institution of higher learning. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, with the ability to navigate database management and LMS systems. Reliable transportation, as travel between campuses is required. The ability to pass a comprehensive background check. Proficiency in navigating University policies and procedures, with the ability to assimilate rapidly. Aptitude for managing multiple tasks simultaneously, with a keen attention to detail. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to effectively problem-solve and resolve issues. A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and accountability to HU values. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive salary range of $38,000 - $50,000 per year, depending on experience.
