Qualifications:
• High school diploma
• Highly Qualified status as per the State of New Jersey (associate's degree - or higher, completed at least two years of study (60 college credits) at an institution of higher education, and/or has met a rigorous standard of quality through a formal State assessment)
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents and school staff
• Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status

Responsibilities:
• Assist in the monitoring of classroom activities and student learning under the direction of the classroom teacher, principal or other designated personnel;
• Promote the achievement of students' educational goals and learning objectives by providing supplemental and clerical services to assist the classroom teacher;
• Responsible for prescribed non-instructionaly duties, which support classroom operations and student learning with direction from classroom teacher;
• Participate in inservice training as assigned
• Assist in providing the emotional and physical well-being of students;
• Support student development of academic, cognitive and functional skills;
• Support implementation of behavior intervention plans as well as appropriate services as described in the IEP.

Salary: In accordance with the established TEAM Salary Guide currently ranging from Step 1 - $13,70 to $24,109
