Job Summary:
We are seeking highly qualified and motivated individuals to fill 5 full-time positions as Federal Program Tutor Advisors at Wasilla Middle School. As a Tutor Advisor, you will play a vital role in providing instructional support services to students in need of academic intervention and language acquisition. Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one tutoring to students in need of academic support
Assist with classroom management and organization
Compile and maintain accurate student records
Provide information, materials, and instructional support to classroom instructors
Conduct parent involvement activities and communicate with parents/guardians
Attend meetings and parent conferences to facilitate communication between students, parents, and instructors
Conduct progress monitoring assessments and maintain accurate records
Requirements:
Completed two years (48 semester credits) of study at an institution of higher education or obtained an associate's degree
Met a rigorous standard of quality and able to demonstrate knowledge of and ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics
Ability to maintain effective communication with students and staff
Ability to carry out and evaluate the achievement of students
Demonstrate adequate level of instructional technology skills
Experience and training working with children with diverse backgrounds in an instructional setting
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual candidates are preferred
Candidates with experience working with students with diverse backgrounds
