Contract Details • September 2025 • 6 months (high probability of extension) • 40 hrs/week • Remote – United States candidates only • 9-5pm Flexible (EST, CST, PST, MST); daily Slack communication • $55-$65/hour (C2C or 1099) with flexibility for the right talent (as always) • Laptop provided • Portfolio link must be included on resume to be considered About the Contract This is a contract role with a global FinTech leader supporting their Serve-to-Sell initiative, which helps call center experts cross-sell and upsell the company’s full suite of financial products while keeping a customer-first mindset. You’ll join a newly staffed learning team that already includes 3 Instructional Designers and a Program Manager dedicated to building out this program. It’s a high-visibility, strategic initiative with strong leadership support and room to make a real impact. About the Role We’re seeking a Senior Instructional Designer who can blend creativity, strategic thinking, and a customer-first mindset to build training that transforms Customer Success Experts into trusted advisors. This role focuses on designing structured, practice-first learning paths that prepare call center and live support experts to master complex products, streamline workflows, and strengthen customer conversations. You’ll evaluate existing content, simplify complexity, and build innovative, modular learning experiences using tools like Articulate Storyline and Synthesia. What You’ll Do • Design end-to-end learning journeys (onboarding, upskilling, performance enhancement) that help agents build both product knowledge and sales acumen • Translate complex tools, features, and processes into engaging, scenario-driven training that supports live customer interactions • Build interactive content and simulations using Storyline and Synthesia, including AI-assisted scripts, storyboards, and assessments • Conduct content audits and needs assessments to identify reuse opportunities and close knowledge gaps • Collaborate with SMEs, Product, and Service Delivery leaders to align training with business priorities • Revise and modernize existing materials for clarity, impact, and scalability • Manage multiple projects with tight deadlines, delivering high-quality training at speed What We’re Looking For • 10+ years of Instructional Design experience, ideally with call center or sales enablement programs • Advanced Articulate Storyline skills (triggers, layers, xAPI, JavaScript) • Experience creating modular, microlearning-based programs vs. one-off courses • Strong writing and visual design skills for support-facing and sales-focused audiences • Familiarity with Synthesia and other AI-powered content tools (or ability to learn quickly) • Comfort working in highly ambiguous environments and driving structure from complexity You’ll Thrive in This Role If You • Have built short, practical, scenario-driven training for call center agents • Can turn complex product knowledge into simple, engaging learning journeys • Enjoy experimenting with AI, gamification, and microlearning formats (think TikToks/Reels/Shorts vs. traditional corporate eLearning) • Are proactive, flexible, and able to lead content strategy in ambiguous situations • Want to directly impact how Customer Success Experts upsell and cross-sell with confidence Ready to design learning that empowers customer experts and drives business growth?
