Join our team and become an essential part of our Freight Agent Program services. We specialize in providing vital services that empower our freight agents to optimize their business operations and excel in their field. As an agent in our program, you can rest easily knowi ng you can facilitate smooth freight operations for your clients. We specialize in heavy haul but are highly skilled in all types of freight . Program Options: Tier 1, Limited Business Services Support Freight Agents operating under Tier 1 are eligible to receive up to a commission rate of 70% of Gross Profit for all freight transactions. Under this tier, Agents will be responsible for handling their book of business from cradle-to-grave inclusive of overseeing the following items: Sourcing and managing carrier relationships Aligning carriers with awarded freight Ownership of the claims management process Retrieval of all pertinent documentation to initiate the invoicing process Action Heavy Haul will extend appropriate licenses to our CRM, TMS, and Carrier Compliance systems to support you and your business which will be required in order to execute your day-to-day and optimize your relationship management process under Action Heavy Haul. Tier 2, Full Business Services Support Freight Agents operating under Tier 2, will receive a commission rate of up to 60% of Gross Profit for all freight transactions. This tier allows you to opt-in to full truckload support for truckload shipments, back-office support, additional sales tool access, and claim support. This includes the following: Ability to leverage our Dispatch team to support the alignment of high-quality carrier capacity on your daily freight opportunities. Our back-office support team can help provide resources for items such as: AR/AP Support, claim resolution, and collections. We leverage and partner with ZoomInfo, DAT, and Truckstop which we can support extending licenses to further help your ability to more efficiently prospect, carrier sourcing, and load booking activities. Expectations for Freight Agent: Utilize existing personal networks and actively seek out new opportunities to grow the freight brokerage business. Manage relationships with existing clients, provide exceptional customer service, and ensure their freight needs are met efficiently. Establish and maintain relationships with carriers, negotiating rates and ensuring timely delivery of freight. Negotiate competitive rates with both clients and carriers, maximizing profitability while maintaining high service levels. Coordinate the transportation of freight, including scheduling pickups and deliveries, tracking shipments, and resolving any issues that arise. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards, including safety regulations for heavy haul freight. Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for all shipments, including bills of lading, shipping manifests, and invoices. Included in this is the utilization of the CRM to effectively manage sales activities such as opportunity creation, pipeline management, and prospecting efforts. Handle any challenges or issues that arise during the transportation process, finding solutions quickly and effectively to help drive value with your partners. Why Join Our Program: No non-compete. Requirements Requirements: 2+ years of experience in freight brokerage, with a focus on heavy haul freight. Transferable, active book of business. Excellent communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with clients, carriers, and internal team members. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure competitive rates for both clients and carriers. Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in documentation and shipment tracking. Proven ability to quickly identify and resolve issues as they arise. Ability to work independently and proactively seek out new business opportunities. Proficiency with freight brokerage software and other relevant technology tools.
