2025 Summer Intern - Enterprise Research Consumer Insights - Remote
About the position
As a State Farm intern, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with experienced professionals, contribute to meaningful projects, and make a real impact. We are looking for current graduate students who are passionate about understanding how consumers think, feel, and act in the insurance and financial services space. The ideal candidate would be a researcher who has experience with quantitative research, qualitative research, or both. This includes the ability to create surveys, analyze quantitative data, and/or employ qualitative methods such as conducting one-on-one interviews and summarizing overall themes. Being able to communicate well and visualize your findings to create impact are also key.
Responsibilities
Work with peer researchers to understand research needs and develop/execute research efforts to support those needs.

Execute new primary quantitative or qualitative research to understand customer needs/expectations and improve the customer experience.
,
Perform statistical analyses on various data sets to explain customer behavior (for quantitative researchers).
,
Utilize qualitative methods to understand 'the why' behind customer behavior and help build compelling customer stories (for qualitative researchers).
,
Communicate complex analyses and insights in a simple and actionable way to business partners; develop creative and immersive ways to help business partners take data from insights to action.
,
Collaborate within a fast-paced team, manage multiple projects simultaneously, think outside the box, and constantly focus on developing yourself and your skills.
Requirements
Currently enrolled in a MS or PhD degree in a research-related field like Psychology, Statistics, Data Science, Consumer Behavior, Marketing Research, Anthropology, Design Thinking, Economics, or Marketing.

Experience scoping, designing, and conducting quantitative and qualitative research.

Experience manipulating and analyzing structured and unstructured data using tools such as R, SPSS, SAS, Python, or Qualtrics.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
