Role and Responsibilities
As a Delivery Associate, you will support USPS operations by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of mail and packages. This entry-level position is ideal for candidates seeking to begin a career in public service without prior experience.
Sort, organize, and load mail and packages for delivery
Deliver letters and parcels on an assigned route using postal vehicles or on foot
Ensure accuracy and timeliness in deliveries and pickups
Interact with customers professionally and courteously
Maintain records of deliveries and handle mail securely
Follow USPS procedures and safety protocols at all times
Required Skills and Experience
Ability to lift and carry mail and packages weighing up to 70 lbs
Valid driver's license with a safe driving record (for positions requiring vehicle use)
Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Ability to work independently and follow delivery schedules
Effective communication and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Familiarity with local delivery areas and routes
Basic knowledge of handheld delivery scanners or mobile devices
