JOB DESCRIPTION Seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Senior Java Software Developer to work 100% Remotely supporting enterprise IT for our War-fighter customer who upholds America's status as the "Land of the Free" every day, at work, or at play. RESPONSIBILITIES Design and build scalable solutions, including new features, enhancements, and modernization of application architecture Develop and maintain frameworks using Java EE, Spring Boot, and RESTful services; implement business logic and Oracle database integration Develop applications that render CAD drawings and DWG files Collaborate with Agile Scrum teams to deliver production-ready code; provide input for progress meetings and product reviews Ensure compliance with development and security standards; create automated unit/regression tests and participate in peer code reviews Perform unit, acceptance, load, and performance testing; troubleshoot issues in development/test environments for stability and performance Support deployment for on-prem and cloud environments; interface with stakeholders to propose solutions and demonstrate features Occasional travel and extended hours may be required for system validation after updates/patches REQUIREMENTS 10+ years of experience building modern enterprise applications Experience designing and implementing business logic with strong expertise in relational database integration (preferably Oracle), including database design and data modeling techniques required Experience utilizing advanced concepts like JSP, JPA/Hibernate, and developing secure, maintainable REST services required Experience with DevSecOps tools and practices required: CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, or equivalent) Containerization (Docker) and ECS/Fargate or Kubernetes Designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based solutions (preferably AWS) for app modernization efforts Familiarity with web application servers (Tomcat [preferred], Jetty, or equivalent) Ability to concurrently support multiple applications and stakeholders/customers Agile experience working in an enterprise IT and/or DoD environment CERTIFICATION(s) None SECURITY CLEARANCE Interim or Active Secret Security Clearance EDUCATION BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering or an Information Technology or 14 years of related experience with an AA/AS degree, or HS Diploma with 16 years of related experience #00042 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BENEFITS Generous PTO/Leave Package 11 Paid Federal Holidays Medical, Dental, & Vision Plan Short-Term & Long-Term Disability Accidental Death & Dismemberment 401K Retirement & Matching Profit Sharing Plan Free Training & Development Subscription Tuition Assistance Program Direct Deposit OUR CULTURE Built upon open communications and teamwork principles that keep a talented, tenured workforce in place; consistent quality services; proactive, out-of-the-box thinking, and the highest ethical values. COMPENSATION The likely salary range for this position is $170,000 - $190,000 annually. This is not, however, a guarantee of total compensation or salary or any other compensation offered. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
