1099 Outside Sales Representative

Reports To: Regional Sales Director
Compensation: Commission-Based + Monthly Base ($2,000)
Position Overview
ProGreen is seeking a dynamic and self-driven 1099 Outside Sales Representative to expand our presence in the artificial turf market. This role is ideal for a confident, results-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. You will be responsible for independently identifying and closing new business opportunities while nurturing long-term client relationships.
Key Performance Indicators
• Secure a minimum of 3 new commercial clients per month
• Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets
• Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads
• Attend at least one industry networking event per month
• Maintain accurate and timely updates in CRM
Responsibilities
• Proactively source and close new business opportunities across residential, commercial, and recreational sectors
• Deliver compelling product presentations and site consultations to prospective clients
• Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with clients through consistent follow-up and service
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution from sale to installation
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and product innovations
• Represent ProGreen at trade shows, expos, and local networking events
Requirements
• Proven track record in outside sales, preferably in construction, landscaping, or home improvement industries
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with a direct, results-focused communication style
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage a flexible, self-directed schedule
• Familiarity with CRM tools and sales reporting
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Willingness to travel regionally and attend overnight events as needed
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
• Experience with artificial turf or landscaping products
• Previous experience as an independent contractor or 1099 sales role
