100% Remote GIS Backend Software Engineer
Summit Human Capital is seeking a highly motivated 100% Remote GIS Software Engineer to support our Fortune 500 client. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria: Must Have Skills: • 4+ years' experience as a GIS Developer or Software Engineer / Developer using Python as your primary programming language • 3+ years of recent experience with Geospatial Data • 3+ years of experience with AWS • Experienced in building API's for integrations Plus Skills: • Experience with ArcGIS data • Electric Utility experience Responsibilities • Direct system design, development, and integration efforts from initial definition through successful implementation. • Design and deliver operations research applications including databases, websites, and tools with geospatial capabilities to support diverse business needs. • Adhere to company standards for system, technical, and product architecture while proactively managing technical risks across projects. • Create, update, and oversee technical plans to meet evolving requirements, ensuring timely completion of deliverables within budget and schedule.
